1940s style dress with bebe collar and lace details

Styling inspired by the 1940s. A bebe collar that I love and use in many of my projects. In my opinion, it gives a girlish, but also chic styling.

In this project I added one more interesting detail, namely guipure lace inserts in the middle of the front. It’s a subtle addition, but I think it does the job. I used the same lace to decorate the edge of the collar.

The dress has one more secret accessory. It is two side panels in the shape of triangles that I added to the sides of the dress. They can be tied at the back or front, adjusting the dress to your figure even more. At the same time, these panels are so subtle that they are almost invisible.

The sleeves also deserve some attention. They are extended at the bottom. At the wrist, the material is gathered with a wide elastic band, but not at the end of the sleeve, but at a certain distance to create a frill. In my opinion, it gives a beautiful effect, and at the same time the sleeve is very comfortable.

Now a few words about the whole styling. You don’t need a lot of accessories for the dress. Here I chose comfortable black shoes with a small heel, which I once bought at Deichmann. The shoes fit into the retro style, so they fit perfectly here. The purse is my pick-up from the dumpster (genuinely!), loot out of this world, a real retro handbag thrown away by someone who no longer needed it, and it works great for me. I did my hair using a straightener. The whole is complemented by make-up, i.e. red lips and a black line on the eye.

What do you think about this styling?

The dress is not permanently available. I can sew only a few pieces of this miracle, so if you are interested, write to me (contact tab) .
