STYLIZATIONS

Dress made of two fabrics with intriguing sleeves

I won’t beat around the bush, I don’t like clichés. I always think how to complicate something here and make it more unique. In this case, I wanted to combine two fabrics that (as it usually happens with me) accidentally “lay down” next to each other on my fabric shelf. I write that, as usual, because this is how most of my ideas for color combinations are born. xD

At first I had an idea for a cut in my head, but when I saw this beautiful fabric with a texture that was left over from another project, I immediately knew what to do with it. 😀

It’s a dress in the category of “difficult” to sew, because there are a lot of turns on the needle (90-degree turns of the fabric), but it was incredibly satisfying to sew it.

I changed a lot while sewing. There were supposed to be tabs on the shoulders, not tucks, the sleeves were supposed to be straight without a cuff. While sewing, however, I decided that it would be better, and I sewed the cuffs with a throw on the tape. I think the effect is very good. 🙂

The cuffs are stiffened with double glued so they stand out from the hand creating such nice “horns”. If you like this dress, you can order it by writing a message in the contact form. However, this is a limited model, so it will not appear in the store. At least not with these fabrics. 😉

Hugs,
Anna
